Gerhard Mütter is Technical Director of Alteso, where he leads, in the function of Owner Representative Advisory (ORA), supervision of O&M for PV-plants.

This software toolset allows supervision of multi-MW PV-plants based on perceptions of deep analysis of large datasets taken from monitoring systems.

Francesco leads specialist solar PV engineering and asset management teams whose current responsibilities range from EPC and O&M contract negotiation to asset management including overseeing contractors during all stages of construction, commissioning, testing acceptance and operation of the solar PV assets owned by Bluefield funds which account for 400+MWp to date across 74 plants.
Prior to joining Bluefield, Francesco has worked in REC Group as Country Manager for the solar photovoltaic construction business, REC Systems Italy, where he was responsible for contracting and constructing over 70 MWp installed capacity comprising 26 ground and roof top sites and 24 plants in operation and maintenance. Francesco has also been a former Babcock & Brown Program Manager managing a pipeline of 170 MWp projects developed in Greece and 300+ MWp in Italy.
Francesco has served as Managing Director of REC Systems Italy and of a number of Italy based solar energy asset companies. He also served as Board Director for one Greek based solar energy assets holding company.

Dr S.Kapellos is a graduate of the Chemical Department of the University of Athens (UOA), Greece (1986). In 1991 he received his PhD on the field of Physical Chemistry from the same Institution. The research was a collaboration between UOA and the Michigan State University (MSU) Physical Chemistry Teams. In 1993 he was hired by BP Hellas SA as Chemist in the Perama Lubricants and Fuels Quality Control Chemical Laboratory. Since then he had the opportunity to be positioned at various managerial posts within the BP Hellas Organization: Quality, Health, Safety and Environment, Human Resources, Customer Services, Pricing and Credit. In 2004 he moves to Northern Greece as Retail Fuels District Manager North.

In 2007 when BP Solar is established, Dr. S.Kapellos is appointed as the leader (CEO) of the new organization, in order to setup the new business.

In 2010 he moves to ELPE Renewables (100% owned by ELPE Group), developing and managing the Renewables portfolio of the Hellenic Petroleum Group. He currently holds the position of the Operation and Development Director of the company, being at the same time BoD member. Τhe current RES portfolio of ELPE Renewables is 130 MW of photovoltaic projects and 25 MW Biomass, of which 10 MW PV in operation and another 9 MW PV project under construction. A 6.8 MW wind park was acquired in 2013.

Dr.S.Kapellos has published several scientific articles in international magazines during his academic career. He has written a number of articles on subjects related to Safety, Hygiene and Environment and in the last years on Solar Technology and Energy Policy for newspapers, relevant magazines and e-media.

Since May 2017 Luca Matrone is the Global Head of the Energy industry in the Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo, with the coverage responsibility for both the Power & Utility and the Oil & Gas sectors. Previously he headed the Energy M&A team in Banca IMI, the investment bank of Intesa Sanpaolo group, leading the main M&A transactions completed by the bank. Luca coordinated several M&A and financing transactions in the solar space for clients such as Enel, F2i, Tages, NextEnergy Capital, ERG, Aristhon Thermo, Viridis, Maccaferri Group. He joined Banca IMI in 2000. Luca graduated in business administration from Bocconi University in Milan.

Pierpaolo is a partner in our Banking & Finance practice, with a particular focus on the Energy & Utilities sector. He is based in Rome.
His practice focuses on project finance transactions, advising major national and international players with energy related financing and refinancing deals and he has participated in the negotiations and drafting phases, with both clients and counterparties, in relation to energy and infrastructure projects on international basis.
Pierpaolo also has significant experience of drafting, negotiating and managing national and international EPC, DBO and O&M contracts together with projects contracts.
In addition, Pierpaolo has a considerable experience in national and international contract law, corporate law and M&A.
He has also acted as advisor for investment banks on major national and international acquisitions and restructuring transactions related to international group companies carrying out business in the infrastructure and energy field.

Pierpaolo graduated with full marks from the University “Roma Tre” of Rome in 2000 and later obtained a Master in Business Law from the Business School of Il Sole 24 Ore, where he currently teaches Finance Law and Project Finance in Master courses. A recognized leader and experience solar energy expert, James has worked on hundreds of renewable energy projects across the globe. After being instrumental in developing, constructing and operating some of the first solar projects in Ontario, James is now actively engaged in simplifying asset management for the industry. James is one of the early drivers behind the development and launch of PowerHub: a simple, cloud-based Asset Management solution designed to help renewable energy asset owners manage their projects. Marco has eighteen years of international experience in the management of assets, and operation and maintenance throughout various industries, including seven years in the solar industry.
He has been paving his career path towards full asset management services since beginning his career with ABB, integrating its full-service team for industrial assets.
Following this, Marco worked at Transdev-Veolia, focused on business and asset management for Light Rail networks in Europe.
In 2010 he became founder and global Head of Martifer Solar´s O&M and Service Business, driving the strategic direction while leading a team of more than 100 employees, where he became Executive Committee Member as the representative of O&M and, accumulated with the responsibility of leading the EPC global business in 2015, until leaving the company in 2017. Martifer Solar operated in more than 20 countries as a global reputed Developer, EPC turnkey provider and one of the most relevant O&M Global Service providers for Solar assets.
In 2018 he co-founded and integrated as General Manger the company MTX Solar - a provider of innovative solutions and services for the players of the solar industry, with own competences for the whole chain of value of Solar, present in two continents.
Marco received his MSC in Electrical Engineering and completed an Executive MBA in Management from University of Porto Business School/IE Madrid. He speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a working proficiency in the French language.
