Sam Wilkinson is a Research Manager for the Solar and Energy Storage Research group at IHS Technology. During his time working within the group, Sam has been responsible for researching the PV inverter market and the PV module and poly-silicon supply chain working closely with leading global suppliers to develop detailed analysis on these markets. Sam has also been responsible for establishing primary research reports focusing on solar demand and policy, complementing IHS extensive research of the complete PV supply chain. Building on his experience in the solar research team, Sam established and now leads IHS Technology’s coverage of energy storage, covering a wide range of topics within this fast developing sector. Sam’s analysis and commentary is regularly published by leading PV and energy industry media and also the global press. He has also presented at many leading industry events and conferences. Before beginning his career at IHS, Sam worked as a Structural Engineer for one of Europe’s leading engineering firms. He graduated from The University of Nottingham with a degree in Engineering.

Enerparc is an international specialist in the whole value chain of large-scale photovoltaic power plants, has 150 experienced employees with offices in Germany, India, US and a number of registered partners (Ukraine, Jordan, Egypt, Belarus and others).

Mario joined Encavis (then Capital Stage) in 2013 and now heads the Operations and the IT divisions. Prior to that, he has been heading the Investment Team and responsible for the company’s business development. Together with his Team he has also been analysing the trends of the energy sector and exploring new business models. The combination of his technical and financial expertise has been crucial to Encavis’ growth over the past years.
Before joining Encavis, Mario worked as Country Manager for the German wind energy developer GEO mbH.
Mario holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Control Engineering, both from University of Pisa. In 2015 he also earned an MBA from Mannheim Business School.

Mr. Hanawalt has worked in the independent power industry since its birth in the early 1980's. Over the past thirty years, has developed a deep set of operational & management skills including start-up engineering, performance engineering, operations management, and asset optimization.
Steve started his career as an engineer with International Power Technology. Recognizing personal computing technology allowed engineers for the first time to automatically acquire and process realtime plant data, he founded Power Factors Incorporated in 1986 to provide plant performance analytic services to the power industry. Steve successfully ran Power Factors as CEO for 12 years before being recruited by Calpine in 1999 to develop its Plant Optimization business unit. Steve developed and led the group for 7 years where his team was responsible for optimizing the thermal and economic performance of Calpine’s 25,000 MW portfolio of combined cycle power plants.
In 2007, Steve left Calpine to join SunPower Corporation as Global Vice President of O&M where he had responsibility for commissioning and managing the largest fleet of solar photovoltaic power plants in the world at the time. Recognizing the solar industry needed an independent monitoring and asset management software platform, Steve left SunPower in January of 2012 to form Power Factors LLC with two additional partners.
Steve is an Executive Vice President at Power Factors where he works with customers to ensure their successful use of the Power Factors’ SaaS solution which is now monitoring over 20 GW of solar and wind power projects around the world.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1982 with a specialization in energy conversion.

Since 2007 he has held management positions at Kioto Photovoltaics and KPV Solar, before co-founding ENcome Energy Performance in 2012.
